Walter and Laura Johnson were married and settled in Tipton County, Tennessee Their union produced five children. Laura had a child (Ocie) from a prior marriage to (unknown first name) Jackson.
Each of their children represent a clan of our family:

- Edna Johnson Balls (1892 – 1930)
- John Henry Johnson (1893 – 1960)
- Richard Johnson (1895 – 1966)
- Charlie Johnson (1897 – 1922)
- Elmer Johnson (1899 – 1971)
